DC's Milk Cult Ice Cream Sandwich Creations Arrive At Whole Foods

WASHINGTON, DC — Milk Cult, a Washington D.C.-based ice cream company, is introducing four new ice cream sandwich creations that will be available at Whole Foods in the D.C. area and across the country.

The new items include Avocado Ice Cream Chocolate Wafer, which is vegan, and Vanilla Ice Cream Chocolate Chip Cookie. The two types of Dippy Boys brand ice cream sandwiches are Vanilla Ice Cream Chocolate Shell Potato Chip and Makrut Lime Candy Shell Crispy Rice, which is vegan.

The inspiration for the new flavors came from collaborations with D.C. restaurants, including Chef Seth Wells of Rose's Luxury and Chef Tom Cunanan formerly of Bad Saint, the company said.

“It's taken eight years and a lot of trial and error to hone in on the four distinct flavors for our ice cream sandwiches,” said Ed Cornell, co-founder and co-owner of Milk Cult.

Founded in 2013 in D.C. as a mobile vending ice cream company, Milk Cult has grown its customer base through distribution at local grocery stores.

Along with Whole Foods, Milk Cult products are available at other stores, including Union Kitchen Grocery, MOM’s Organic Market, Amazon Fresh and Peapod by Giant.
