Family Day at National Academy of Sciences
NAS Family Day on Saturday, April 13 will be a time to learn about how to use science, engineering and medicine to make good decisions.
The National Academy of Sciences (NAS), a private, nonprofit that provides objective, science-based advice on critical issues affecting the nation, will offer a unique and fun opportunity for young people (ages 3 and up) and their families to better understand how to use science, engineering and medicine to help make good decisions every day.
The Institute for Genomic Biology will also participate in this Family Day on Saturday, April 13, bringing its World of Genomics to D.C. for the first time ever. The World of Genomics features hands-on learning with state-of-the-art microscopy, robotics, activities and artifacts.
A highlight of NAS Family Day will be the interactive DecisionTown. Each stop in the town, more than 17 in all, will offer a different activity centered on an issue or question facing DecisionTown as it plans for the future.
