FIDF Delivers Packages to IDF Soldiers Along Gaza Border

Today, as Israel Defense Forces (IDF) soldiers prepare for a potential ground operation inside the Gaza Strip as part of “Operation Guardian of the Walls,” following massive rocket attacks on Israel, Friends of the Israel Defense Forces (FIDF) provided personal packages for the soldiers who are stationed along the Gaza border.

The authorization of these emergency funds comes following an IDF request to the FIDF, the only organization officially recognized by the IDF to fundraise for the wellbeing of IDF soldiers. The funds will support the brave men and women of the IDF who risk their lives to serve and protect Israel – and the Jewish people worldwide.

“As active soldiers risk their lives to safeguard Israel—and reserve soldiers prepare to protect their country at all costs –we must intensify our efforts to look after them,“said FIDF National Director Steve Weil. “These men and women are upholding a most sacred duty and we would like to show our support now and address those soldier’s immediate needs. FIDF stands by them wherever they are and is committed to supporting them during times of increased tension as well as times of stability.”
