Fire Near L'Enfant Plaza Causes Road Closure
Authorities shut down a road near L'Enfant Plaza due to a Monday morning fire.

WASHINGTON, DC — A Monday morning fire at a L'Enfant Plaza office building is out, but traffic issues continued in the area for the morning rush hour.
D.C. Fire and EMS responded to a fire at 301 7th Street SW on the 6th floor of a 10-story building containing a regional office of the U.S. General Services Administration.
Firefighters quickly had the fire under control, and sprinklers that activated helped control its spread. No injuries were reported.

Investigators were on the scene to determine the cause. D.C. sent out an alert at 7:34 a.m. stating that the intersection of 7th and D Street SW would remain closed until further notice. Authorities announced at around 11 a.m. that the road had been reopened.
