Free Thanksgiving Meal At 'Feast Of Sharing' In DC
The "Feast of Sharing" will take place the day before Thanksgiving at the Convention Center.
WASHINGTON, DC — A big Thanksgiving giveaway will be taking place at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in downtown D.C. the day before Thanksgiving, including a free meal, live entertainment, and free health screenings and clothing.
Safeway's annual Feast of Sharing will take place from 9:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 27 at the Convention Center, located at 801 Mount Vernon Place NW.
"Join us for a holiday celebration featuring a delicious free Thanksgiving meal, live entertainment, free health screenings, and community service exhibitors, a free clothing distribution, fun prizes, and more," according to the announcement.

The Community Services and Health Expo and clothing distribution will open at 9:30 a.m., and meal seatings will begin at 11:30 a.m.
Those interested in attending the event should take the Metro Yellow or Green line to the Mount Vernon Square-Convention Center station.
