Former One Direction star Louis Tomlinson will be performing at The Anthem in 2020.
WASHINGTON, DC — Louis Tomlinson's first big solo tour is coming to Washington D.C. The former One Direction star will perform at The Anthem on June 19, and tickets are now on sale.

The Anthem is one of D.C.'s latest venues, located on the District Wharf in the Southwest Waterfront neighborhood. Although it has only been open since 2019, the theater has hosted some pretty epic performances. Since it opened with the Foo Fighters in 2017, such singers as Lorde, Meek Mill, The Killers, Bob Dylan, Judas Priest, and Little Big Town have all taken the stage.

Louis Tomlinson is the latest in a long string of superstars to grace the stage. His "Louis Tomlinson World Tour 2020" comes on the heels of the singer's first solo album. His debut EP, "Walls," is slated for release January 31, 2020.
This isn't Tomlinson's first solo endeavor. After One Direction split in 2016, the singer released his debut single, "Just Hold On," which peaked at number two on the UK Singles Charts and was Certified Gold in the United States. The following year, he released "Back to You" with Bebe Rexha and "Miss You."

The pop prince is quite multitalented. Tomlinson operates his own record label, Triple Strings, and was even a player for the Doncaster Rovers soccer team in England. He has also had stints as a judge on "The X Factor," on which he was a former contestant.
Fans in DC should be ready for the British invasion to rise again when the album releases in January. You'll be sure to hear hits from the singer's new album, and maybe even a few One Direction favorites, like "What Makes You Beautiful," "Story of my Life" and "Best Song Ever."
