Man Arrested In Seattle For Sending Packages To Military Bases
Suspicious packages were sent Monday to several military bases and intelligence facilities in the Washington, D.C., area.

WASHINGTON, DC — Authorities arrested a man Tuesday morning in Seattle, Wash., for sending suspicious packages to several military bases and intelligence facilities in the Washington, D.C., area, according to media reports. The packages contained materials that looked like bombs, according to law enforcement officials.
The packages were delivered Monday, according to the FBI. One package contained a circuit board and a vial of liquid. Another tested positive for black powder.
The packages were sent to the National Defense University at Fort McNair in the District, to Fort Belvoir in Virginia, and to mailrooms at the CIA and the White House. The packages also contained "rambling notes," according to media reports.

Another package was found Tuesday morning at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling in the District, WRC-TV Channel 4 reported.
The name of the man who was arrested in Seattle has not been released, according to media reports. The FBI is examining the packages.

It was not clear Tuesday if any of the packages was an actual working explosive device that could have been detonated, NBC4 reported.
