WASHINGTON, DC — The manager of a popular DC restaurant died Friday after he was robbed and shot outside of a country club in Atlanta earlier this month.

Christian Broder, who was the general manager of Millie's in Spring Valley, died at a D.C. hospital at 34 years old on Friday, his family announced.

The shooting occurred at about 12:15 a.m. July 8 outside the Capital City Country Club at 53 West Brookhaven Dr., according to Atlanta Police Department spokesman Officer Jarius Daughterty.

He said a group of four people, including Broder, were waiting for their Uber when a car pulled up and a man got out, pulled a handgun and demanded their belongings.

After stealing items from them, the gunman started heading back to his vehicle, but Broder tried to follow him. That's when the gunman fired once, striking the man in the stomach. He then got in the passenger side of the vehicle and the driver pulled away.
