The Meatball Shop Partners With DC Businesses For Scavenger Hunt

WASHINGTON, DC — If you’re feeling nostalgic for summer days of scavenger hunts, tag, and capture the flag, the owners of The Meatball Shop feel your pain.

The restaurant is planning their very own, city-wide scavenger hunt to celebrate The Meatball Shop’s D.C. opening.

From Wednesday, August 15 to Saturday, August 18, four DC businesses will hide golden grinders and put up clues on their social media pages for all of DC to find.

Winners will receive free meatballs for a year, along with additional prizes.

The schedule is listed below:

• Wednesday, August 15th: Le Diplomate (@lediplomatedc)
• Thursday, August 16th: 305 Fitness (@305fitness)
• Friday, August 17th: The Watergate Hotel (@watergatehotel)
• Saturday, August 18th: Christine Yi (@CY_Eats)

On each day of the hunt, Hunters can follow along the social pages (@meatballers) and the partner pages for clues for where the golden grinders can be found. There will be one grand prize winner per each day of the hunt. Winners will be announced on social media pages right after the golden grinders have been retrieved.

Additionally, on Thursday, August 16, the company will give out free meatballs to the masses in The Meatball Shop D.C. meatball truck. Sponsored by Meyer Foods, one of the purveyor partners at The Meatball Shop, company representatives will drive around town from 9:30 a.m.-on dishing classic balls in our classic tomato sauce.

*to note, free meatballs for a year entitles each winner to one order of naked balls in sauce per week.
