Nats Vs O's: Where Do They Rank In MLB's Best Or Worst Uniforms?
In the Battle of the Beltways, which local MLB team — the Baltimore Orioles or the Washington Nationals — has the best uniforms?
WASHINGTON, DC — Diehard Major League Baseball fans generally don't need an excuse to argue about why their favorite team is better than yours. That includes fans of the Baltimore Orioles and the Washington Nationals.
Take team home uniforms, for example.
What's not to like about the Nats' colors — scarlet red, white, and blue? Somebody should make a flag with those colors and fly it over every MLB park, school, and public building across the U.S.

Who doesn't love the O's logo? For a long while, they had a realistic oriole on their caps. Then, in 2012, they switched to an updated version of a cartoon bird. Try not to smile when you see it.
PlayUsa, the sports betting website, decided it was time to settle the big question: Which MLB team has the best uniform? They polled more than 2,000 baseball fans across the U.S. and asked them to rate the home uniforms of all 30 MLB teams. Which did they hate and which did they love? The makeup of the respondents was 63 percent men and 37 percent women, with the average age being 35.

Perhaps not surprisingly, the three teams that respondents said had the best uniforms were among the oldest franchises in the league:
- Chicago Cubs
- New York Yankees
- Boston Red Sox
Among local teams, the Baltimore Orioles came in ninth and the Washington Nationals 18th. The Orioles also had the favorite team colors of all MLB teams and was chosen to have the third best logo, according to the survey. So, in this Battle of the Beltway, it was the O's that swept this series.
Since we're talking baseball, there are no ties. There have to be losers. The teams that received the fewest votes and therefore had the worst home uniforms, according to the survey, were the San Diego Padres (28th), Seattle Mariners (29th), and the Minnesota Twins (30th).
