Obama Flubs His Beatboxing Debut

During a Q&A session in Hanoi this week, Vietnam’s “Queen of Hip-Hop,” Suboi, stood up at to ask a question about the importance of arts and culture. But before he would answer, Obama wanted to hear her rap.

And he offered to beatbox.

And then he beatboxed.

Obama, never beatbox.

Suboi did accept his offer, but Obama gave her two beats, and then suggested she go ahead without him.

In the absence of a presidential backbeat, the audience clapped a beat for her short rap in Vietnamese about whether rich people with big houses are really happy.
