Person On Tracks Causes Metro Delays, Officials Say

An unauthorized person on the tracks at the Gallery Place Metro Station is causing delays to Metro riders Wednesday morning.

(Updated at 8:50 a.m. Wednesday): WASHINGTON, DC — Normal service has resumed at Gallery Place after a person was on the tracks, officials announced.

Metro announced at about 8:07 a.m. that an "unauthorized person" was on the tracks.

Officials said normal service resumed at Gallery Place at about 8:45 a.m.

Riders can expect residual delays in both directions following on the Green and Yellow Line.
