Range Of Cuisines Coming To Western Market In Foggy Bottom
A new marketplace on Pennsylvania Avenue, Western Market, will include several restaurants offering cuisines from around the world.

WASHINGTON, DC — A new marketplace will be opening on Pennsylvania Avenue in the Foggy Bottom area later this summer. The marketplace, Western Market, will include several restaurants offering cuisines from around the world.
Among its many restaurants and shops, Western Market, at 2000 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, will include Bandoola Bowl, a Southeast Asian salad shop; Arepa Zone, which serves Venezuelan food; Nim Ali, which serves Guatemalan Food; and Alitiko, a Greek and Mediterranean restaurant.
“Western Market will bring diverse cultures and cuisines to the heart of Foggy Bottom, just steps from Georgetown and the West End, easily accessible from George Washington University, the GWU Hospital and medical campus, the World Bank and IMF, the State Department, and other nearby businesses and agencies,” said the market’s developers, Westbrook Partners, MRP Realty and CANA Development.

The remodeled historic market, originally built in 1802, will have an interior concourse offering spacious indoor access for dining, along with outdoor patio seating on the south face of the building and an additional entrance on 21st Street NW.
