Redskins Sign Receiver From Colin Kaepernick's Workout: Reports
The Redskins reportedly have signed Jordan Veasy, weeks after he participated in Kaepernick's workout video.

WASHINGTON, DC — One person got signed to an NFL team because of Colin Kaepernick's much-publicized workout last month — the receiver to whom he was throwing passes.
The Washington Redskins have signed wide receiver Jordan Veasy, and Veasy told the Washington Post that he credits the Nov. 16 workout with getting him the job.
“It helped,” he said. “That’s one of the reasons I wanted to be a part of it. Just being a part of the history of it, and I knew it was going to help me.”

Veasy, who played college at California where he met Kaepernick, went undrafted in 2018 and signed deals with four teams, most recently the Buffalo Bills.
Veasy got the invitation to catch passes from Kaepernick after the NFL agreed to let the controversial QB work out in front of scouts — reportedly after pressure from rapper/producer Jay-Z.

However, it was Veasy who got the contract. Meanwhile, Kaepernick continues to be unsigned, despite being only 32 and behind only Joe Montana and Steve Young in quarterback rating in 49ers history when he last suited up.
The former NFC champion claims the league has blackballed him because of his controversial decision to kneel during the national anthem before games to call attention to systemic racism. His activism has earned vocal opposition from the right, and he was publicly called out by President Donald Trump, who demanded that the NFL "get that son of a bitch off the field right now. Out."
Kaepernick met with the Seattle Seahawks, but nothing ever materialized after he reportedly refused to tell the team he would stop kneeling.
Earlier this year, the NFL reportedly paid Kaepernick and fellow activist Eric Reid under $10 million to settle claims of collusion against them.
