Reston Community Players Score Most WATCH Awards Nominations

All four of the Reston Community Players' productions for 2019 received nominations for the annual WATCH Awards.

RESTON, VA -- The Reston Community Players received 25 different nominations from the Washington Area Community Theatre Honors for the 2019 theatre year, according to an RCP press release. The WATCH Awards recognize artistic and technical excellence in community theater across the Washington, D.C. metro region.

RCP's 25 nominations are the most received by any of the 28 theater companies participating in the 2019 WATCH adjudication. All four of RCP's 2019 productions — Annie, Superior Donuts, Time Stands Still and A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder —received at least one nomination.

“RCP is thrilled to have our efforts recognized by the greater DC Metro theatre community,” said Jolene Vettese, president of Reston Community Players, in the press release. “We are very proud of all the productions we mounted in 2019 and are grateful for our large dedicated family of volunteer cast and crew members, without which, these honors would not be possible.”
