Tom Wilson's '43 Burger' Lends Support To DC Central Kitchen
43 Burger, named for Tom Wilson's jersey number, will feature craft burgers available for delivery in D.C., Maryland and Virginia.

WASHINGTON, DC — Clyde’s Restaurant Group has opened 43 Burger as part of a collaboration with Washington Capitals forward Tom Wilson. The new online restaurant will donate a portion of every sale to DC Central Kitchen.
43 Burger, named for Wilson’s jersey number, will feature craft burgers available for delivery in Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia. DC Central Kitchen, founded in 1989, works to fight hunger and poverty in the District.
“Collaborating with a local restaurant group that I have always enjoyed, giving fans an opportunity to interact in a small way and being able to raise money for an important cause just felt right,” Wilson said Wednesday in a statement.

“While I am hoping we appeal to individuals and families who are able to order our 43 Burger, there are also many in our community who struggle from meal to meal,” Wilson said. “The DC Central Kitchen team is a group of great people that help feed those in need in innovative ways.”
Inspired by the Washington forward, the menu features “4 burgers, 3 sides, and no nonsense,” including the Willy’s Way Burger with cremini mushroom spread and truffle cheese.

“It was fun working with Chef Stephen Lyons and the Clyde’s team to incorporate some unique flavors,” Wilson said. “To be able to stress quality ingredients like their locally ground beef and working with local artisans such as Maryland’s FireFly Farms was important to me as well. I hope fans enjoy it as much as I do.”
Wilson, a D.C. fan favorite, has played for the Capitals for eight years and helped the team win the Stanley Cup in 2018. Known for his hard-hitting style of play, Wilson recently returned to the ice after a seven-game suspension issued by the NHL.
“Tom Wilson has the same passion for the people in our community as he displays on the ice,” Kevin Keller, director of operations for Clyde’s Restaurant Group, said in a statement. “As fans ourselves, it is easy to see why ‘Willy’ is admired and loved by so many. He is one of those guys you definitely want on your team, not on your opponents. We couldn’t be more thrilled to have him on the Clyde’s team and help him support DC Central Kitchen.”
Tom Wilson’s 43 Burger is available for delivery across the D.C. area. To learn more about 43 Burger, visit clydeskitchens.com.
