Regarding the March 7 front-page article “Google fell short in hiring of Black talent, critics say”:
D.C. is fortunate to have two historically Black colleges and universities, Howard and the University of the District of Columbia, that both offer excellent accredited engineering programs, with degrees through the doctoral level. UDC’s non-inclusion in Google’s special recruitment program and the article’s failure to mention it are damaging to the preparation and advancement of Black engineers.
