Weather: Near Recording-Breaking Warmth Across DC-Baltimore Area
National Weather Services is forecasting higher temperatures in the Washington, D.C. area on Wednesday before cooler weather on Thursday.
WASHINGTON, DC — It may be time for residents of the metro D.C. area to check that their air conditionings are working and they have enough ice in the freezer for cool, refreshing drinks.
The National Weather Service is forecasting near record warmth Wednesday across the Baltimore-Washington region, according to a post on the NWS official Twitter account.
District residents can expect a high of 87 on Wednesday and a low of 68, before temperatures begin to drop a bit on Thursday. The record high temperature for April 29 is 91, which was set in 2017.

In Baltimore on Wednesday, temperatures are expected to reach a high of 87 and a low of 67. A record high for Baltimore was set in 1974.
A chance of showers and thunderstorms are possible later in the day, but chances improve on Thursday. A strong cold front is expected to move through the region through early Friday.
