Weekend Road Closures Due To Movie Production In DC
Movie production and filming will cause a number of streets to be closed and parking restricted in downtown D.C. this weekend
WASHINGTON, DC — D.C. motorists can expect to encounter intermittent traffic control and parking restrictions in parts of the city this weekend due to a movie production and filming, according to a Metropolitan Police Department release.
On Saturday, Feb. 22, between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., traffic flow will be limited and parking restrictions enforced in the following areas:
- Pennsylvania Avenue between 14th Street, NW & 3rd Street, NW
- Independence Avenue between 14th Street, SW & 7th Street, SW
- Constitution Avenue between 7th Street, NW & 3rd Street, NW
- 12th Street between Constitution Avenue, NW & Pennsylvania Avenue, NW
- 3rd and 4th Street, NW/SW, between Pennsylvania Avenue, NW & Independence Avenue, SW
Motorists can expect possible delays if driving in the vicinity of the filming and may want to choose alternate routes. They should also anticipate the parking restrictions and follow posted emergency no parking signage. Vehicles in violation of such signage will be ticketed and towed.
