WASHINGTON, DC — Summer may have looked different this year because of the pandemic, but Labor Day is still the time to bid the season farewell before pools close and kids start classes. In the District, there are various closings and schedule changes to know for the holiday
On Monday, Sept. 7, all federal and D.C. government offices will be closed to observe Labor Day.
Students at D.C. Public Schools will began the school year virtually this week, but schools will be closed on Monday.

All D.C. Government offices: Closed on Monday, Sept. 7.

Construction is prohibited in the District on federal holidays, so there will be no construction going on Monday, Sept. 7.
All DC DMV locations: Closed on Monday, Sept. 7.
All DC Libraries: Closed on Monday, Sept. 7.
All DC Parks & Recreation Outdoor Pools: Closed on Monday, Sept. 7
Metrorail operates on a Sunday schedule on Monday, Sept. 7. It will be open from 8 a.m. until 11 p.m.
