World Cancer Day Panel with Cancer Survivor Ron Rivera Live

Harvard and American Cancer Society present experts on early cancer detection and disproportionate death rate in people of color globally

Cancer Survivor Ron Rivera of the Washington Football Team gathers with sports experts and leaders from Harvard and American Cancer Society to discuss early cancer detection and why cancer is disproportionately killing communities of color around the globe.

The Zhu Family Center for Global Cancer Prevention at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, in partnership with the American Cancer Society, presents “Game Changer: Intercepting Cancer,” on February 4, World Cancer Day 2021, for a live, hour-long event with sports leaders and medical experts discussing global cancer prevention. Through a health equity lens, a panel from sports, medicine, and public health will share personal cancer experiences, vital information on healthy lifestyle, and the need for access to quality care for all.
