First Florida Dressbarn Store Closure Announced
As the women's clothing retailer winds down its operations, the company announced one Florida store will be closing before the others.

FLORIDA — Dressbarn, the women’s clothing store that is winding down operations and closing all 650 stores, has announced the first round of stores that will shutter in the coming weeks. One Florida store is included in the initial wave of closures.
A list posted to the Dressbarn website Friday named 28 locations that will be closing in June and July.
The Florida location that will be closing is at 10748 SW Village Parkway in Port Saint Lucie in The Landing at Tradition shopping center.

When Dressbarn announced that it would be winding down operations, it did not disclose when stores would begin shutting down. Dressbarn CFO Steven Taylor called the decision “difficult but necessary” as the stores had “not been operating at an acceptable level of profitability in today’s retail environment.”
The company employs about 6,800 people across the country. Dressbarn has said employees will be notified when decisions are made about individual store closures and given “transition support.”
