Beryl's Remnants Dissipate In The Caribbean

Beryl's remnants are expected to bring rain to Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands on Monday.

Former Tropical Storm Beryl has dissipated in the Caribbean as it moves toward the Bahamas. An advisory by the National Hurricane Center reported that Beryl had little chance of reorganizing.

Beryl's remnants are expected to bring rain to Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands on Monday. Beryl is expected to produce rain accumulations of 2 to 3 inches through Tuesday across the Leeward and the Virgin Islands, as well as Puerto Rico. Amounts up to 5 inches are possible, according to the hurricane center.

Strong gusty winds are possible across the Leeward Islands Monday night, and in the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico on Monday and Monday night.

Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph with higher gusts. Wind associated with the remnants are expected to drop below gale-force Monday morning.
