Pillow Fight: David Hogg Launches Company To Rival MyPillow
The Parkland activist wants to compete with conservative Mike Lindell's company, plans to run his business on progressive values.

SOUTH FLORIDA — Parkland school shooting survivor and gun control activist David Hogg plans to launch his own pillow company to compete against conservative MAGA supporter and Trump conspiracy theorist Mike Lindell’s MyPillow brand, he announced on Twitter Wednesday.
Hogg will team up with Los Angeles software developer and investor William LeGate for the new endeavor. They plan to run the company based on progressive values, Hogg said.
“(William LeGate) and I are going to prove that progressives can make a better pillow, run a better business and help make the world a better place while doing it,” Hogg tweeted.

Since that initial tweet, he’s been using the social media platform as a brainstorming session, asking followers for “cool name ideas.” He said they hope to have their website live in a few weeks.
Hogg said they plan to hire formerly incarcerated people, veterans and MyPillow workers “in the case we put them out of business, but we need to work out the logistics more on production and stuff.”

They’ve also said they’re looking for unionized pillow manufacturers to work with. Hogg said they're hoping to use their pillows to raise funds for various causes, including LGBTQ+ organizations and sex education programs.
LeGate also tweeted Thursday that they’re exploring ways to use their pillow company to fund campaigns of Democratic congressional candidates.
Lindell, the entrepreneur behind MyPillow, is an evangelical Christian and former crack addict. He was a regular face at the White House during Trump’s time in office, supporting the president’s baseless election fraud claims.
Since then, the Twitter has banned the accounts of both Lindell and MyPillow, MarketWatch reported. Major retailers, including Bed Bath & Beyond and Kohl’s, have also cut ties with MyPillow, removing their products from their stores nationwide, Business Insider reported.
