2 Dozen Cars Broken Into In NE Miami-Dade

The thieves left a trail of smashed car widows in three parking lots, according to Miami-Dade police.

MIAMI, FL — More than two dozen vehicles were broken into at three apartment complexes early Sunday morning in northeast Miami Dade. Police said that the break-ins occurred at 800 NE 195 Street, 18831 NE 3 Court and 770 NE 195 Street. The thieves left a trail of smashed car widows in the three parking lots, according to Miami-Dade police.

"The total number of vehicles burglarized is 26," explained Det. Alvaro Zabaleta of the Miami-Dade Police Department. "Airbags, radios and other fixed items were not stolen. It appears that only loose items within the vehicles were stolen."

Zabaleta said that 14 vehicles were hit at 800 NE 195 Street. Another eight were hit at 18831 NE 3
Court and four others were hit at 770 NE 195 Street.
