54-Year-Old Woman Seriously Injured In Hit-And-Run
The incident occurred as the woman was attempting to cross the street at NW 4700 block and NW 32 Avenue.

MIAMI, FL — A 54-year-old woman was seriously injured Monday when she was struck by a hit-and-run driver. The incident occurred shortly after 7 p.m. as the woman was attempting to cross the street at NW 4700 block and NW 32 Avenue.
Detective Alvaro Zabaleta said that the investigation has centered around a red Toyota Tundra pickup truck. He said that the vehicle suffered damage to its passenger side and passenger-side mirror.
"A red Toyota Tundra pickup truck was traveling northbound on NW 32 Avenue, struck the female and fled the scene," Zabaleta explained.

The victim was taken by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center. Her condition was not immediately available late Monday night.
"Video surveillance from a nearby business captured images of the subject's vehicle as it struck the victim and continued to flee," said Zabaleta. "Investigators are seeking the assistance of the community for additional information regarding this incident."
