AVENTURA, FL —If you love fireworks — and who doesn't, except the occasional golden retriever and Labradoodle — we found plenty of displays that are set to light up the skies around Aventura on July 4.

Patch is compiling a complete guide of fireworks displays, restaurant promotions and other events by location. You'll find parking and transit information below to make this your best Independence Day ever.

According to the National Weather Service, July 4 is shaping up to be a scorcher with scattered thunderstorms expected to develop during mid-day and gradually focus westward over interior South Florida and toward the Gulf Coast through the afternoon into evening.

"The greatest coverage of storms is expected to be across the western half of South Florida While individual storms may be of short duration, they could produce strong winds," said the National Weather Service. "Frequent lightning and heavy rain are also possible. Afternoon heat indices are expected to range from 95 to 107 degrees — highest values over western sections of interior South Florida."

Virgin Trains USA (Brightline) July 4 Weekend

Virgin Trains USA is offering a stress-free, car-free alternative to celebrate the holiday. South Floridians and visitors alike can enjoy a cold brew or glass of wine, kick back and ride in style to watch the fireworks and celebrate America’s birthday. From Friday, July 5 to Sunday, July 7, fares start at $10 for Smart service. Additionally, Kids under 12 Ride Free in Smart service through September 30th. All tickets can be purchased online here. With celebrations taking place in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties, the higher speed train is the most convenient way to see it all. From July 4-7, train stations will feature in-station activities in honor of the holiday weekend. On July 4 Virgin MiamiCentral riders can enjoy free popcorn, snow cones, cotton candy and drink specials at Good to Go before boarding the train. On July 6 Virgin MiamiCentral, riders can meet their favorite super heroes and even ride with them on the train. Face painting and cotton candy are also available at select stations. On July 7 at the Fort Lauderdale Station, it’s Sunday Funday. Miami Children’s Museum will offer slime making and face painting events throughout the day.

AVENTURA

Annual 4th of July Fireworks Celebration

The City of Aventura will hold its annual Independence Day fireworks celebration on July 4 at 9 p.m. along Country Club Drives. The spectacular aerial display will illuminate the skies above the City of Excellence and can be viewed from any location along Country Club Drives. Free parking is available on the second and third floors of the Aventura Government Center. Message boards will be placed nearby to help direct traffic to the event. America's Birthday Bash

Celebrate our country’s independence in the heart of downtown Miami on July 4 at Bayfront Park. This year's celebration will include a free kids' zone, food and beverages as well as the largest free fireworks show in South Florida. Bayfront Park, which runs along Bayside Marketplace off Biscayne Boulevard, will be open until 11 p.m. The kids' zone runs from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. ahead of the dazzling fireworks at 9 p.m. Don't bring any bottles, cans, coolers or personal fireworks to this event or you will have to watch from somewhere else. All Biscayne Boulevard northbound traffic will remain open throughout the day until approximately 8:30 p.m. Thirty minutes prior to the beginning of the fireworks display, Miami Police will be posted to assist with traffic concerns and pedestrian egress from the park. Traffic will be temporarily re-routed and shut down along Biscayne Boulevard, Brickell Avenue and NE 2nd Avenue. All southbound Biscayne Boulevard traffic will be diverted west at NE 6th Street. All northbound traffic at Brickell Avenue will be diverted west at SE 5th Street and SE 7th Street. All eastbound traffic at NE 2nd Avenue will be routed south. Jose Marti Park in Little Havana

Miami District 3 City Commissioner Joe Carollo invites local residents to join him for an evening full of fun activities and food to celebrate Independence Day. The free July 4 celebration takes place at Jose Marti Park in Little Havana with complimentary food, live music and children's games capped off by a spectacular fireworks show. Musical performers include the Karibe Kings, Karlyle Alonso, DJ Kenny Jones and more. The fun starts at 6 p.m. in Jose Marti Park, 351 SW 4th Ave.

Adrienne Arsht Center

Celebrate July 4 weekend on the highest note. Mitown Productions is proud to announce an exclusive evening with superstar and five-time Grammy Award-winning music legend Dionne Warwick on Saturday, July 6 at Adrienne Arsht Center. Warwick will receive recognition from both Miami-Dade County and the state of Florida with the Key to the County. Accompanied by a live symphony orchestra, this star-studded event will feature Warwick singing her classic Grammy Award-winning songs and record-topping hits, such as "Walk on By" "Don't Make Me Over" and "That's What Friends Are For" among many others. Show time will start at 8 p.m.

Jungle Island Family-Friendly July 4th Celebration

Get ready for a star-spangled Independence Day at Jungle Island where animals and families are the stars. In celebration of America’s birthday, South Florida’s popular eco-adventure attraction will host daytime festivities for the entire family to enjoy, including patriotic animal parades with dancing flamingos, rambunctious lemurs, slithering reptiles and more. Kids who dress up as their favorite animal will receive free park admission with an adult ticket purchase and be invited to participate in the parade on July 4. Jungle Island will offer a variety of holiday activities from face painting, a DJ, to kids entertainment and games, and contest giveaways. Kids, ages 2-13 years of age, can cool off at the new Jungle Splash, featuring water slides and paddle boats while parents sip on refreshing local craft beers available for purchase. July 4 from 10 a..m to 7 p.m. Founded in 1992, the Miccosukee Tribe of Indians of Florida celebrates the spirit of freedom annually on July 4. This free family-oriented event features music, food, carnival rides and exciting surprises. The resort is located at 500 SW 177th Ave., Miami.

Gabriel Miami Hotel Rooftop Pool Party

Take in the fireworks from all around the city on the Gabriel's rooftop. You can see the fireworks at Bayfront, Miami Beach, South Beach and beyond after a July 4 BBQ by the pool. Fire On The Fourth Festival

The holiday starts and ends on the beach with a patriotic extravaganza featuring free entertainment, fireworks and a special performance by the ReMix Band. Presented by Coca-Cola and amplified by 93.9 MIA, the outdoor festival kicks-off at noon with food trucks and family fun games. From noon to 4 p.m., children will be able to enjoy a special Kids Zone on the sand featuring a rock-climbing wall, bungee jump station, inflatable water slide, fun and free soccer clinic, bounce house, face painting as well as art and crafts. If that’s not competitive enough for you, witness local restaurants go head-to-head in the Top Dog Culinary Challenge at 2 p.m. As part of the City of Kindness initiative, Miami Beach is once again partnering with Operation Gratitude to collect letters of gratitude and support for our Nation’s heroes. Throughout the event, attendees of all ages are invited to write letters of gratitude and support to new recruits, first responders and the brave men and women who are fighting, or have fought, for our freedom overseas. Live tunes throughout the day will be spun by DJ Joey Brooks. Beginning at 6 p.m., take in the sounds of dynamic South Florida band ReMix. Bring your blankets and chairs as you sing and dance to renditions of Michael Jackson and Earth, Wind & Fire, Ariana Grande, Ed Sheeran and others. The event concludes with a spectacular fireworks display at 9 p.m. Styrofoam, glass containers and alcoholic beverages are prohibited.

Miami Beach’s North Beach Bandshell Park is located on Collins Avenue and 73 Street. If Memorial Day weekend was any indication, traffic won't be pretty so take a ride-sharing service or use the free citywide trolley service operating from 6 a.m. to midnight. Catch great vibes as well as amazing food and drink specials this holiday. Nestled in South Beach, both tourists and locals are welcome to come join the fun. Ocean Drive Independence Day Celebration

Presented by the Ocean Drive Association and the city of Miami Beach, the fun kicks off at 5 p.m. with a program for children on the south side of Lummus Park near 5 Street. The event will feature face painting, stilt walkers, ice cream and more. The Miami Classical Music Festival takes over at 8:30 p.m. with an orchestral performance. The event will be capped off with a spectacular fireworks display at 9 p.m. On Friday, July 5, catch the blues performance by Rachelle Coba featuring legendary soul singer TC Smith. The performance is set for 5:30 p.m. All weekend long from Thursday through Sunday you can visit the Artisan Market and the SOBE Farmers Market on the north and south ends of Lummus Park.

The City Beautiful invites you to a Spectacular Gables Fourth for one of the city's most acclaimed events. Colorful fireworks will once again fill the night skies over Coral Gables on July 4 at the Biltmore Golf Course, located at 1200 Anastasia Avenue. The grounds open at 5 p.m. Enjoy a free concert at 7 p.m. and stay for the fireworks at 9 p.m. There is also a free shuttle service from three locations: City Hall, the University of Miami campus and the Youth Center.

DORAL

CityPlace Doral

This July 4 raise a glass to freedom at CityPlace Doral’s Toast to America bash from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Enjoy an evening filled with great food, cocktail specials, fireworks and live music by DJ Mezmriz with special guest MarkoPerez.

Brimstone Doral

Celebrate America’s birthday with Brimstone Doral’s Fourth of July party from 11am - 10pm. Homestead-Miami Speedway

Fireworks, food trucks, kids’ activities, and live music at South Florida’s most exciting attraction are on tap this year. The Homestead-Miami Speedway is located at 1 Ralph Sanchez Speedway Blvd. in Homestead. The speedway will be awash in a sea of reds, whites, and blues for the annual “Race to the 4th!” Independence Day Bash on July 4 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thousands of guests will enjoy the country music stylings of Ricky Valido and the Hialeah Hillbillies. Food trucks will offer a variety of summer treats along with refreshing beverages to wash it all down and kids will have plenty to occupy themselves with midway-style amusement rides and games. This salute to all things America will culminate with a a dazzling display of pyrotechnics synced to a mix of pop hits and patriotic tunes. There will also be a special VIP event in The Champions Club. The VIP Event will offer a preferred view of the epic fireworks display. A limited number of $20 tickets for guests 13 years old and up will be available for purchase starting June 17 at the City of Homestead Parks and Recreation Department, 350 SE 6th Avenue in Homestead. Tickets for children from 7 to 12 years old are $10 and children who are under 6 years of age can get into the Champions Club for free with a ticket. Join the city of Miami Gardens in celebrating the nation's birthday on July 4. This year the fun takes place at Rolling Oaks Park, 18701 NW 17th Court in Miami Gardens. The city of Miami Gardens is presenting this event in collaboration with Supa Cindy of 99 Jamz and Supa Friends. In addition to food trucks, games, bounce houses and our first Ferris wheel, the celebration will feature a 30-minute fireworks show. Bring the entire family, but please leave your coolers and tents at home. We look forward to celebrating with you. The event runs from 4 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

PALMETTO BAY/CUTLER BAY

On July 4 Palmetto Bay's Village Hall will once again play host to a booming celebration of America's birthday with rides, food, music and the grand finale — a spectacular fireworks display. This free event begins at 6 p.m. with fireworks set for 9:30 pm. There will be plenty of fun activities in the hours leading up to the fireworks show so be sure to come out starting at 5:30 pm to get a good viewing spot and enjoy food/ and beverages. Identification will be required for alcohol purchases served by several different vendors. There will also be face painting, stilt walkers, live bands, an arts and craft area, LED robots and a free kid's fun zone with inflatables and amusement rides — something for everyone in the family.

Free satellite parking with shuttle service will be available to and from the event from 5:30 pm to 11 p.m. at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary St. Richard Catholic School, 18455 Franjo Road. Free, (limited) parking will also be available at Palmetto Bay Park. Cash parking ($15) will be available at Palmetto Station Apartments (SW 180th St. entrance only). No elevator service will be available. Public transportation, Uber and Lyft are encouraged. Please bring lawn chairs and blankets. No grills, fireworks or pets allowed. July 4th Celebration Whispering Pines Park

Start the holiday with a parade, face painting, bounce houses, interactive games and events, fly-over, live music and a cookout sponsored by the community of Cutler Bay. ETARU Hallandale, the oceanfront Japanese robatayaki concept from the team behind Zuma Restaurants Worldwide and Chandon will co-host a Fourth of July celebration on Thursday, July 4 from 2 p.m.m until 11 p.m. The party, which will take place on the restaurant’s rooftop terrace as well as on the beach, will feature food and beverage specials throughout the day. Beach bites will include hot dogs, burgers, fries, chicken wings, a popsicle cart and more. In partnership with Chandon, ETARU will offer specially priced drinks including Chandon Sweet Star and Chandon Rosé mini bottles for $5 and Chandon Brut bottles for $13.50. Wine, beer and well drinks will also be available. The party will feature entertainment including a DJ and plenty of beach games such as corn hole, Jenga, beer pong and more. 4th of July Spectacular

Celebrate America's Independence Day at the city of Fort Lauderdale's free holiday celebration. The patriotic extravaganza will feature live bands, a kids zone, beach games, contests, family activities and a dazzling fireworks display. The event takes place on July 4 from noon to 9:30 p.m. on Fort Lauderdale Beach at A1A and Las Olas Boulevard. The Kids Zone will provide non-stop energy and excitement along with plenty of music and comic relief from noon to 5 p.m. Highlights will include DJ music, bounce houses, water slides, face painting, beach games and contests. Be sure to bring your appetite so you can compete in an old-fashioned hot dog eating contest. And if you are still not full, try your hand at the July 4 apple pie eating contest. The live music kicks off with the Brass Evolution from 4:30 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. From 7:45 to 9 p.m., country music icon Lee Greenwood will entertain event attendees with his famous patriotic tunes such as, "God Bless the U.S.A."
