Florida Middle Schoolers Get Sick From Eating Pot-Laced Chips
A middle school student may be expelled from a Hollywood school after some of her classmates got sick from eating her THC-laced chips

HOLLYWOOD, FL - A middle school student may be expelled from a Hollywood school after some of her classmates got sick from eating THC-laced chips she brought to school, police said. The chips were in a bag labeled Weetos Flamin' Hot and resembled the Cheetos cheese snack.
Three Driftwood Middle School students got sick after eating the chips. Weetos is marketed in California, where the marijuana-laced products are legal and sold to adults. The 15-year-old girl is being charged with possession and could be expelled, police said.
The owner and creator of Weetos Edibles told CBS4 that the bag did not appear to be one of his products. Rod Emerson said he did not believe the students ingested his product. “I don’t want any children getting my products and if I find out that anybody is providing children with my product, they’re going to be reported, among other things,” he told CBS4.
