Former FBI Director Discusses School Shooting Probe
The meeting follows questions over the police response to the Florida school shooting.

PARKLAND, FL — The mayor and former mayor of Parkland, Florida met with former FBI director Louis Freeh on Monday to discuss the possibility of Freeh leading a Broward County investigation into the Valentine's Day massacre that killed 17 and wounded 16 others at Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School, according to the Sun-Sentinel newspaper. The meeting follows questions over the police response to the shooting as well as the handling of numerous warning signs involving accused shooter Nikolas Cruz.
The newspaper reported that former Parkland Mayor and current Broward County Commissioner Michael Udine and Parkland Mayor Christine Hunschofsky met with Freeh after the former FBI director was mentioned as one possible candidate to lead the county's investigation into the worst school shooting since a gunman opened fire on Sandy Hook Elementary School.
Udine told the newspaper that Broward County officials were also speaking with other potential candidates to lead the investigation.
