Fort Lauderdale Airport Reports Suspicious Package

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL — The roads into Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood International Airport were shut down for a time Sunday night as police investigated what they described as a suspicious package.

"Our deputies have deemed the package safe, and issued an all-clear," reported the Broward Sheriff's Office around 9:40 p.m.

BSO said earlier that the bomb squad and deputies were responding to a report of a suspicious package outside Terminal 4. The report came in around 6:30 p.m.
