Applicants submit their annual report for review by a team of professional auditors, who provide feedback to improve future documents. If the report meets the requirements of the program, the document may receive the Certificate of Excellence. A district’s participation in the COE program can facilitate bond rating and continuing bond disclosure processes.
ASBO International recognizes each school district’s superior efforts in financial reporting to the community through outstanding reports. COE recipients are honored for their credibility, confidence and transparency in their fiscal management and professional growth.
