Miami Dolphins Play Better At Home Than Marlins, Panthers Or Heat
A new analysis reveals that the Dolphins play better at home than any other Miami professional sports team.

MIAMI, FL — A new analysis proves what many longtime Miami Dolphins fans already know: That the Fins win more games at home than they lose. While that's also true of the Marlins and Heat, the home field advantage appears to help the Dolphins much more. The Panthers have actually lost more home games than they won.
The average NFL team wins 56 percent of its home games while the average Major League Baseball club wins 54 percent of its outings in front of a home crowd, according to gambling website Casino.org.
"Miami exceeds that with a historic win percentage of 66 percent, good enough for third best of any NFL team," according to Casino.org.

The Marlins on the other hand have a 51 percent historic win percentage at home, which is among the five lowest in all of baseball, the website found.
The Dolphins are so good at home in fact that they have the highest historical home winning percentage of any AFC East team, including the New England Patriots, the website reported.

In baseball, the New York Mets have the highest win percentage of 58 percent of all home games. The Pittsburgh Steelers bested all of the other football teams with a 72 percent win percentage at home.
The average NHL team wins 52 percent of home games. Not so for the Panthers, which has a historic win percentage of only 44 percent at home, according to Casino.org. That puts the Panthers among the five teams with the worst home win percentage in all of professional hockey. Montreal has the best home win percentage at 61 percent.
That's not the case for the Miami Heat, which has a historic home win percentage of 62 percent. That is slightly above the NBA average of 61 percent. San Antonio tops the NBA with 74 percent.
