Weston Students Create Cards for Essential Workers & U.S. Veteran

Students at The Sagemont School sent thank you cards to essential workers in their community and birthday cards to a World War II veteran

Students at The Sagemont School Lower School Campus in Weston recently sent thank you cards to local essential workers and birthday cards to a U.S. Army veteran. Third graders handmade cards for essential workers at Pill Box Pharmacy and their local U.S. Postal Service office to thank them for everything they do for the community, especially during the pandemic. Pre-K students, with the help of The Sagemont School’s student council, created birthday cards to bring joy to a World War II veteran who resides in an assisted living facility in South Carolina and recently celebrated his 101st birthday. Through this initiative, students learned the importance of spreading kindness and recognizing community heroes.
