Youth Travel Soccer Teams Tryouts

The City is holding open tryouts for its Youth Travel Soccer teams in May at Waterways Park. Registration is required for tryouts and is open to all boys and girls ages 6-16.

The tryouts are free, but registration is required. Registrations are open to both Aventura residents and Non-Aventura residents with a valid and existing account on the City’s Online Registration System (ORS). Visit cityofaventura.com/ors to begin and complete the registration.

The tryout schedule is as follows:

  • Monday, May 10, 2021:
    Ages 6-11 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
    Ages 12-16 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday, May 12, 2021:
    Ages 6-11 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
    Ages 12-16 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, May 15, 2021:
    Ages 6-11 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
    Ages 12-16 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

The Aventura Football Club (AFC) is the City’s travel soccer team and a member of the Florida Youth Soccer Association (FYSA). With support from its professional coaching staff, FYSA provides an appropriate developmental level of teams for each player.

Players selected will be invited to join AFC 2021-2022 season that will participate in top tournaments and leagues in South Florida. Players selected will initiate team training on Tuesday, August 17, 2021.

Please be advised that complete details may be subject to change due to any updated safety restrictions and guidelines recommended by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the Florida Department of Health (FDOH), and Miami-Dade County. In response to the Coronavirus pandemic and the return to the new normal phases of operations, the City of Aventura’s Community Services Department carefully planned and prepared this tryout with guidelines to safely protect the health and welfare of the community it serves.
