79-Year-Old Wesley Chapel Woman Killed In Crash On State Road 56
A 3-year-old girl and her father from Zephyrhills sustained serious injuries.

WESLEY CHAPEL, FL — A 79-year-old Wesley Chapel woman has died following an accident on State Road 56 Wednesday.
At 9:10 p.m. Jan. 13, a car driven by a 27-year-old Zephyrhills man was traveling east in the outside lane of SR 56 approaching Meadow Pointe Boulevard.
The Wesley Chapel woman was headed west in the outside lane of SR 56 approaching Meadow Pointe Boulevard.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, both cars entered the intersection at the traffic signal and collided. Troopers don't know whether the light was red or green.
The 79-year-old woman was taken to the hospital where she died on Thursday.

The 27-year-old driver and a 3-year-old girl in his car sustained serious injuries. Two other passengers, a 23-year-old woman and a 1-year-old child, sustained minor injuries.
