Dade City Celebrates Grand Opening Of Heritage Museum

Feb. 14 was the ribbon-cutting and grand opening of the Dade City Heritage and Cultural Museum at the historic train depot/

DADE CITY, FL -- Valentine's Day proved the perfect time for lovers of Dade City history.

It marked the ribbon-cutting and grand opening of the Dade City Heritage and Cultural Museum at the historic train depot, 14206 U.S. 98 Bypass, Dade City.

Volunteers spent months painting, pressure washing and preparing the 1912 train depot for its grand opening as a museum.

The museum will host trolley tours and walking tours of the depot as well as historic Dade City sites along with concerts, history lectures and other events.

The museum is open six days a week (closed on Tuesday) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
