Meeting Set On U.S. 301, Riverview Drive Intersection Work

The county is hosting an open house Sept. 17 to discuss intersection improvements at U.S.301 and Riverview Drive.

RIVERVIEW, FL — Hillsborough County is hosting an open house Tuesday, Sept. 17 at 6:30 p.m. to discuss the construction of intersection improvements at U.S. 301 and Riverview Drive.

Hillsborough County Public Works is proposing an improvement project at the intersection of U.S. 301 and Riverview Drive to improve safety and traffic flow. The county is recommending adding a second westbound left turn lane with a shared westbound through/right turn lane on Riverview Drive. Eastbound lanes on Riverview Drive would be reassigned to include an exclusive right turn lane and shared through/left turn lane. A directional median opening accommodating the westbound left turn movement would be implemented on westbound Riverview Drive.

The project also will include additional features for pedestrian safety and ADA accessibility.
