Newsome Football On The Road To Face Tampa Bay Tech
Game time is 7:30 p.m. tonight, Aug. 30, for Newsome Wolves football against the Tampa Bay Tech Titans.
The Newsome High School Wolves, coming off last week's 56-14 loss to Spoto High School, travel to Tampa Bay Tech tonight, Friday, Aug. 30. Game time is 7:30 p.m.
Newsome, under head coach Kenneth Hiscock, faces the Titans, who are 0-0 in district play and 1-0 overall. Tampa Bay Tech's national ranking is 1,827; its state ranking, 125, according to MaxPreps.com. The Titans on Friday, Aug. 23, shut out the Blake Yellow Jackets, 56-0.
The Wolves (0-0 in league play and 0-1 overall) are ranked 1,368 in the nation and 102 in the state, according to MaxPreps.com. Last year, Newsome snapped Durant's 11-0 winning streak with a 21-14 victory in the second round of Class 7A-Region 2 Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) playoffs.
