Skateboard Competition To Determine Most Sublime Wood Pushers

The county is hosting a three-tournament skateboard competition kicking off Saturday, March 30 at Apollo Beach Skate Park.

APOLLO BEACH, FL -- If your alley-oop rivals Tony Hawk’s or your aciddrop is the envy of fellow wood pushers, you may want to enter Hillsborough County’s Best Shredder series.

The county is hosting a three-tournament skateboard competition kicking off Saturday, March 30 at Apollo Beach Skate Park, 664 Golf and Sea Blvd. Registration is free and begins at 4 p.m. The contest starts at 5 p.m.

The tournament is a chance for the county’s most-skilled skateboarders to showcase their biggest air and most jaw-dropping tricks.

Each tournament is held at a different county skate park. Skaters in four age divisions compete for first-, second-, and third-place prizes at each event. At the final tournament, the top point-getter in each age division is named the Best Shredder in Hillsborough County.
