Summer Feeding Program Offers Free Meals To School Kids
Children who rely on school for breakfast and lunch nutrition can receive free meals while school's out from a district feeding program.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL — Thirty-six schools across Hillsborough County will provide its students free meals throughout the summer with the Summer Feeding Program, the Hillsborough County Public Schools District said.
Grab-and-go meals will be provided to children 18 and younger from June 2 to August 5. Every Monday and Wednesday families can receive two days' worth of breakfast and lunch on both days. The district said they are aware many students rely on schools for access to nutritious breakfast and lunch during the school year.
“Our district stands ready to provide learners with critical supports even during the summer," Superintendent Addison Davis said."Offering students the opportunity to receive balanced meals throughout the week will lift a major burden off families who are still reeling from the impacts of the pandemic."
