Tampa National Day of Prayer Worship and Prayer Rally
National Day of Prayer - Tampa Steinbrenner Stadium
TAMPA NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER 2017
Once again on Thursday, May 4th 7:00 p.m. Steinbrenner Stadium will resonate with the sounds of worship and prayer. The first Thursday of May is a national observance signed into law by President Reagan. Every year thousands of people gather throughout this nation in stadiums, parks, schools, and city halls to pray for our nation and leaders.
Our theme this year is taken from Daniel 9:19, “For Your Great Name’s Sake! Hear Us…Forgive Us…Heal Us!” Hundreds of churches, community leaders, city officials, youth and children will come together at Steinbrenner Stadium, with powerful worship and heartfelt prayer, calling on God to heal our land. This is a free family event and everyone is invited to participate on this important day.

Joy Green, the Tampa Chairperson states, “It is a crucial time in history to pray for our nation. As we corporately humble ourselves, we acknowledge our need for God to intervene on behalf of America. I want to encourage every pastor, and every individual to help us to mobilize the church of Tampa bay and transform Steinbrenner Stadium into an altar of worship and prayer. There is something about being together as the family of God, crossing denominational, cultural and generational barriers that is glorious! You do not want to miss this amazing evening!”
Our special guest artist is world-renowned Eddie James and Ultimate Call. The event starts at 7:00 p.m. (Gates open at 6:00 p.m.), 1 Steinbrenner Dr. Tampa, FL. No tickets are necessary. There will also be a daytime worship and prayer rally downtown and a 24/7 Bible-read-a-thon. For more information go to: www.ndptampa.org or call (813) 758-1286.
