US 41 In Gibsonton Closing For Railroad Crossing Work
This closure is necessary for CSX to replace the railroad tracks located just north of Old U.S. 41.

GIBSONTON, FL -- Beginning Monday morning, July 23, the Florida Department of Transportation will close U.S. 41 (South Tamiami Trail) between Madison Avenue and Riverview Drive in Gibsonton.
This closure is necessary for CSX to replace the railroad tracks located just north of Old U.S. 41. This section of U.S. 41 is expected to close for approximately seven days, weather permitting.
During this closure, motorists will not be able to cross the tracks. Motorists will be detoured around the work zone using Riverview Drive, 78th Street and Madison Avenue.

Access to residents and businesses will be maintained. Electronic message boards and detour signs will be used to assist motorists traveling through the detour. Motorists should anticipate heavier-than-normal volumes of traffic on these roads during this closure.
