Broward County Deputy Dies In Crash; Homicide Detectives Probing
The Broward County sheriff's office says a deputy died in an on-duty crash. Homicide detectives are investigating.

DEERFIELD BEACH, FL —Homicide detectives are investigating after a Broward County deputy died in a two-vehicle crash early Sunday, the sheriff's office said. The crash happened around 3 a.m. Sunday near Military Trail and Southwest 10th Street in Deerfield Beach.
The on-duty deputy was called to the area for a domestic dispute when he crashed with a Toyota Tundra pickup truck, authorities said. A second deputy in another vehicle called for help. Rescue teams rushed the deputy and the pickup truck driver to a hospital. The deputy died of his injuries and the second driver was hospitalized in stable condition.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. The names of those involved weren't immediately released.
