This Weekend's Wheels, Wings & Fashion is Bringing the Heat
Presenting Hot Cars, Planes and a Performance by Boca's own Kory Burns

All kinds of hotness are coming together this Saturday for the fourth annual Wheels, Wings & Fashion charity event at Signature Flight Support at Boca Raton Airport. The benefit will feature smoking supercars (Wheels), blazing fighter and private jets (Wings), the latest fiery looks (Fashion) and a special show by local pop phenomenon Kory Burns, performing his new single, “Radio.”
“I’m always into helping out with charity events as it makes the performance always feel that more special,” says Burns. Wheels, Wings & Fashion will benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and The George Snow Fund.
Kory Burns grew up in South Florida, the only child of a single mother. When he was three years old, he heard Mariah Carey’s “Dreamlover” and knew right away he was destined to become a singer. “Growing up, everybody knew that she was my biggest influence and people respected it, considering her career.”

But even if they didn’t, Burns wouldn’t have cared. “My music is all about being yourself and living the life that you want to live, regardless of what anybody has to say or think,” he explains.

His new song, “Radio”, is a track about inviting that special someone home to put nothing on… but the radio. Lyrically, it is more mature than his previous releases. It also sounds different. While his past singles were more ballad inspired, “Radio” presents an up-tempo, pop/R&B vibe.

Much of it has to do with the team behind the song. Burns worked with producer Sean McMillion (best known for his work with Chris Brown, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, and Snoop Dog) and Carlos Battey, an award-winning songwriter/producer who won a Grammy for his dance remix of Madonna and David Guetta’s “Revolver.”
The video for “Radio” was filmed at the Canopy hotel in downtown West Palm Beach. Burns’ real-life friend, Bri, played his love interest.

Unfortunately, the weather didn’t cooperate for the shoot. What began as a sunny 80 degree day in Florida quickly dropped to 60 and then began pouring. “There was supposed to be this Hummer scene in the video that I really wanted,” Burns reveals. “The top was off the Hummer when it started raining and it was just a mess. It took seven people to get the roof back on!”
Luckily, he won’t have to worry about weather on Saturday at Wheels, Wings, & Fashion. The Hangar Party will be indoors.
The Wheels, Wings, & Fashion benefit takes place Sat, April 17, 2021, 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM EDT, at Signature Flight Support BCT, Boca Raton Airport (3300 Airport Road). Tickets available here.
