Wimbledon 2018: No. 4 Ranked American Stunned By Croatian

LONDON — Sloane Stephens, the No. 4 ranked women's tennis player in the world, has lost to Croatia's Donna Vekic. Stephens, 25, of Coral Springs, lost in stunning fashion Monday, 6-1, 6-3.

Going into the first round, she had been expected to be a top contender to win the entire event. Monday's defeat follows a similar first round los at Wimbledon last year.
