14-Year-Old Robbed at Gunpoint While Walking Near Home
A 14-year-old boy was robbed while walking in his Bayshore Gardens neighborhood around 10 p.m. on Monday, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.

The boy was walking south on Columbia Drive when he noticed a small gold, four-door, vehicle pass him, then stop several feet in front of him. The vehicle turned around to face him and three suspects, later described as black males, exited the vehicle.Â
One of the men was armed with a shotgun while another wielded a handgun. The man with the shotgun told the boy to get on the ground, striking him in the back of the head with the firearm.
The man with the handgun then searched the victim while he was on the ground, removing several of his belongings form his pockets.

All three men fled the scene in the vehicle. The victim was later treated for a wound to the back of the head by EMS.
Two of the suspects covered their faces during the robbery. The third was described as heavy set with no shirt and a scar or tattoo on his chest area.Â
