5 Bradenton Runners at Boston Marathon as Explosion Rocks Race
Boston Police said the blast occurred just before 3 p.m. Police say at least two are dead and dozens are injured.
Boston Police are reporting at least two people died and dozens were injured after two explosions occurred Monday afternoon near the finish line of the Boston Marathon.Â
Video of the incident shows the explosion knocking runners and bystanders to the ground following the blast.Â

The Boston Marathon released a statement around 4 p.m. that said, "There were two bombs that exploded near the finish line in today's Boston Marathon. We are working with law enforcement to understand what exactly has happened."
The Associated Press is reporting at least two other explosive devices were found.Â

The American Red Cross Safe and Well site has been activated.Â
On Bradenton Patch's Facebook page, fan Christine McNeillie posted, "I have friends that were there, they said they saw lots of police motorcycles rushing to the scene. I am just glad they are ok."
