Suspects brandish 9mm Handguns in Home Invasion, Deputies Say

The Manatee County Sheriff's Office is reporting an armed home invasion today in the 4300 block of Drake Boulevard.

According to deputies, two suspects – both brandishing 9mm handguns – forced their way into a home, after asking the child answering the door if the mother was at home. A third suspect stayed in a black vehicle that had backed up in the driveway.

The suspects went immediately to a back bedroom and confronted an adult man resting. The suspects demanded to know the location of a safe and marijuana. They then ransacked the bedroom looking for both but came up empty-handed. They then fled the house, driving off toward Lockwood Ridge Road.

No one was injured during the incident.
