"Southwest Florida's coolest backyard" is set to open at The Bishop Museum of Science and Nature.

BRADENTON, FL — "Southwest Florida's coolest backyard" is set to open at The Bishop Museum of Science and Nature on Oct. 1.
"Bradenton residents and visitors have been awaiting the official opening of the Mosaic Backyard Universe at The Bishop Museum of Science and Nature," declared Bradenton city officials. "It’s almost here."
The Backyard Universe features a freshwater pond with turtles, a fossil dig pit, a cardboard rocket and a science shed, according to Bradenton officials.

"Towering over all of it is a massive replica live Oak tree with a treehouse platform, and a scale model of the solar system. To top it all off, the 30-foot-high ceiling has hand-painted clouds on it," officials added.
The Bishop Museum of Science and Nature is the largest natural and cultural history museum on Florida’s Gulf Coast. The museum is located at 201 10th St. W in Bradenton.
