Bradenton Marauders To Host 2017 Marty’s Toy Drive
The Florida State League baseball team will collect toys for the Salvation Army's efforts to help children in Manatee County.
BRADENTON, FL – Bradenton’s beloved baseball team once again will open their doors this winter to help Manatee County’s children in need.
The Bradenton Marauders will host its third annual Marty’s Toy Drive on Saturday, Dec. 16 from 9 to 11 a.m. at Pirate City, 1701 27th St. E. The toys will be donated to The Salvation Army for its Adopt a Family program, which helps provides gifts to more than 1,500 children in Manatee County during the holiday season.
“With Black Friday and the official kickoff of the holiday season coming up, we hope our fans and the community will consider purchasing gifts for children who may not otherwise have anything under their tree,” said Rachelle Madrigal, the Marauders general manager.

While several hundred Manatee County children have been adopted through The Salvation Army’s Adopt a Family event, Marty’s Topy Drive helps to fill the wishes of children who have yet to be adopted. The Marauders collected more than 200 toys during last year’s drive.
